Ingo Lee replied to Sean Pollaro's discussion My first orchestral piece
"The genre I'm thinking of is not the pop music of the sixties like on the film 'Easy Rider' but the cool stuff of Lalo Schifrin and Gil Evans. And Miles Davis fits right in there."

Snowfall for harp

"Very nice Suzzane, I like it.  I'm no harpist but it sounds playable and certainly is suitable for harp. You are fortunate to know a harpist, there are some online resources also I guess. Good work!"

Ingo Lee replied to Dane Aubrun's discussion Waltz - 1'50"
"Had to come back for another listen! Flamenco uses phrygian mode, a little mid eastern vibe with some 1/4 tones here and there too, not much for waltzes though. You're on beyond phrygian here though I think. Everybody talks about work flow,…"

Ingo Lee replied to Dane Aubrun's discussion Waltz - 1'50"
"Diatonic but what is that C# phrygian, ending on C# major?  I really didn't mind the Italian, this side of the pond needs to broaden our horizons.  Very nice though Dane, I could waltz to that, although I'm entirely lacking any…"
