My Malformed Creatures
Every piece of music is a world by itself, and two people in the world will not understand it in the same way. This is only my vision of the Creatures. If you feel like sharing yours, please don’t hesitate to add it here
Running
Running in the middle of a beautiful landscape, jumping obstacles, zigzagging....
Back from Monkey City
6:28 in the morning, early dawn, the jungle begins to awake. All the monkeys in the deserted stone city ruins begin to feast except for one little monkey that still remains calm, quiet, observing the sunrising in the chill of dew. Slowly, the whole group of monkeys get more and more excited, drunk of joy for seeing daylight again, until finally our thoughtful monkey decides to join the racket and celebrate as well how the night drowsiness surrenders to the morning´s new energy
I give you my heart:
I give you my heart, and all my soul. A supreme act of love and courage. No masks, no defences, no nets to protect the jump.
The total surrender to the ones we love, and the absolute devotion that leaves us sweetly helpless.
Everything is ok is my last little creature, I did it for a webpage and is made loopable for such a purpose.
I did it with the intention of allowing the webpage´s visitor to forget about time, lasts only 45 seconds but played on a loop could be held forever.
Gomyra (Gremlin hair morning): Written for Escaramujo Bellydance Ensemble.
These are the mornings one hates, when stress is dreadful. We are endlessly chased by traffic, burocracy, moving to another place, boss messing around, bad luck….Fortunately, if we look hard enough,in these mornings there are also oasis, like a coffee break with a coworker or our baby smiling for one tiny instant from the craddle. And then back to the grind again! In the end, everything finally seems to be back to normal….until next Gremlin hair morning.
The Eyes: Windows opened to the soul, also the hypnotic point of attraction to our attention when we observe the world.
Eyes can be tender, innocent, supporting; they can cause butterflies in our stomach or even be spooky, they can be hollow cold, make our day and even curse us. But overall Eyes, have something very strong in common, because independently of what they make us feel, we just can’t stop staring at them
Not what I had in mind: Sometimes, the contrary of what we plan happens to suit our needs down to the ground.
What we have here could be called an anticomposition; it was born by mistake when I was trying to compose by order something totally opposed to it, and the more I tried to correct it towards the “good path”, the more it seemed to be fluently written by itself and in opposite direction to my command, malevolently contradicting my will (that is it, pulling my leg)
In the end, this mistake happened to be more stubborn than myself, hence I thought that if was so reluctant to die…it was better for me to let go.
Sometimes, best things seem to happen from what is most unexpected, and mistakes often tend to be wiser than our own rational decisitions yet they have little to do with what was planned in the beginning..
The Cat and the Hat: Simply, the joy of playing live; one concert can change someone’s life (a bit of a joke with the audience too!)
Sweet: It is recalling some half forgotten taste from the back of your tongue, or a sensation from the core of your memory, of ease and tenderness, when life seems to flow fluently before us and we just feel….home.
Coffee blue aroma: Long before drinking it, coffee presents itself through its aroma. If instead of using our tongue we tried to do same with our ears, the taste would probably sound like…toasted, dark, estimulating and a bit acid
Hotel Paradise, Vicolo Cattani 7, Bolonia: Once upon a time, there was …. a little hotel in Bolonia where people make you feel at home, where at every minute and in every corner there is a new detail, riddle or short tale ready to surprise you and charm you. Thanks for such a special stay.

Very best,
Larry Elliott
Experimenting is wonderful isn't it. Permission to make huge mistakes and laugh about them afterwards. It is a chalenge making music. I love it!
Best wishes

Hi
Thank you. I really like your music. I'm not just saying that. It's really interesting and folkie/world music enough to make me feel as this is an old friend I'm seeing again. Did you create it all on your own? If so i'm impressed. Love the Tabla and general Indian music influence. Inspiring stuff!
Best wishes
Matt
Thank you so very much for your comments....fellow composer....and touche......I clearly note the luminosity in your musical poetry. The search to reach the unknown....through minimalistic; however diverse and atractive methods......wonderful...thank you for the opportunity to hear your music...
I was great meeting you and I'm sorry I never got the time to talk to you properly. Maybe next time?
Good luck with your music and thanks for adding me as a friend
