"Hi Joel, I write music that is very time-changey. I change time-sigs according to 2 rules - 1) where it would help clarify the phrasing, and 2) where it enhances readability of the score. I thing key sigs is basically the same issues Hope that is…"

When to change key signatures>?

At what point is it necessary to change key signatures? Sometimes I notice, say, Chopin will switch key signatures just for a few bars, while other times writing in other keys without changing the signature, resulting in lots of accidentals. So, what's the general rule?See More

"Cool! Way too short. I was grooving to it but then it ended and made me sad cause' I was diggin' it. I like the scratchy vinyl effect, but I agree it's maybe a bit loud. Love when the acoustic bass and octave reinforcement comes in.…"

"I liked the composition and well performed.  I thought the white noise from the record player was a bit too prevalent, but other than that, sounded great to me.  Thanks for sharing."

"Damn, this is cheeky. It has that 50s/60s British vibe to it and you hit that feeling perfectly imo, especially in the woodwinds. The bowed strings sound cheap by comparison though. Could be the soundtrack to someone chucklingly explaining, in that…"
