I am awesome.

I was a staff composer at Scripps Productions for 6 years. I wrote music for one billion promos, show themes, and commercial type things.

The producers smelled bad (except for the one I married,) so I quit a few years ago and started my own custom music company.

I compose mostly for TV. HGTV, DiY, Food Network, Fine Living, A&E, Discovery, NatGeo, Court TV, The History Channel and so on.

I love to do image spots and promos.

Test your hearing.

I read an article on sound in Discover magazine where the author pointed out a site that lets you test your hearing. If you have pretty accurate speakers (not just computer speakers) or headphones and a decent audio interface, this can help you figure out your personal curve - frequencies that you hear better or worse than others. Inspiring Music

I just discovered Henryk Gorecki. The Symph no 3 was playing on our local NPR station. It's amazing. Long periods of nothing but sustained notes or chords, very slow and evolving, modal. So extremely well done:

I found a nice program to do the translation for me, and I also discovered a way to export mp3 directly out of finale. I don't know why I couldn't find it before...

I've uploaded a couple files, just because they were a couple I could lay hands on quickly, and I wanted to see how things proceeded before I expose myself too much.
