Summer Winds - Completed version

Hello,I have posted the imcomplete version of this piece about two weeks ago. It was the first 2 minutes of the version here. I have since then completed it, and attached it here. I'm not sure how I feel about it, I might do some modifications, but I thought it'd be great to have some opinions about it. Any feedback is very welcome.(P.S. Around measure 35 there is a notation issue I have to fix yet)FrançoisSee More

"The feel of the music captures perfectly the intent. I have no comments on it because I have no idea where you intend to take it. Nice work though! When complete I might look to mix it more realistically, though I can understand that this represents…"

"I enjoyed listening to it. I liked the alternation between the fast staccato and the long notes with the pauses between them. Nice work."

"Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The staccato are indeed more about hinting the spirit of the mood, I don't intend them to be dry staccato. I do intend it to be about that long, with the next 3 minutes or so as a…"

Dane Aubrun replied to Francois Jenno's discussion Summer Winds (work in progress)
"Hello François, Well, it's a pleasant piece as far as you've taken it. Enjoyable, relaxing. The mood is the impressionist era that includes Debussy and his mates. An adventurous flute part and the piano isn't so easy - to…"

Summer Winds (work in progress)

Hello, I wanted to share this new piece I'm working on. As the title says, it's about impressions of summer winds and breezes, for flute and piano. I would say it's about one third of its length, and there would be a modified recap of the sections here at the end.I have attached the sound file for the midi playback, and the score of the incomplete piece.Opinions are very welcome!FrançoisSee More

"I like it. It has a nice romantic sense to it. I agree with what Victor said, you could maybe try to thicken up the texture in some parts, but it's also good the way it is."

"Lost interest from the outset because piano is not prevalent and is too quiet. The piece has great potential if revised."

About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
Hello, I am an amateur composer from Canada. I have been playing piano for over 10 years, but I started composing some 5 years ago. My style has changed over the years, I would describe it now as a mix of romanticism and impressionism. I like lyrical melodies, so I try my best to attain that in my pieces. I don't have a professional formation in composition, (I've only recently started to learn more about the theory of composition), so I hope to benefit from feedback from the forum members, who seem to be knowledgeable in this topic. I would also like to contribute to the best of my ability to helping other members, although the extent of my feedback might be limited as I am not a professional musician.
