Whew! After a looooong break, I'm finally back to writing. To get myself back into it, I thought I'd do something simple. Let me know what you think!
Gods Descend
Ok, so this first song was one I did about 9 months ago using mainly EWQL libraries. It was my first attempt at a "full" orchestral piece using the libraries. I've got some mixing issues to work through...hopefully my new project studio will help me with that.

I really liked Escape from Inferno. There is one thing that I thought was particularly good. I like how you came in with that violin line in the cello towards the end. I was wanting that for the entire time I was listening to it, and I finally got it at the end. Great job!

Really liked the transition to the cue at :58...great dynamics and you seem to have quite a grasp on orchestration etc. I still have yet to get fully loaded on EWQL orchestra packages due to some budget contraints but looking forward to it! - I'm an amateur composer trying to learn some ropes. At the moment, I'm using Sonar X1 and a decent (and growing) library of virtual instruments, the main source of which is EWQL. I just started using all of this about a year ago, but I've done some simple composing (on and off) for about a decade now. After a six-month break (I was deployed), I'm excited to get back to using all of this stuff and to see where my creativity can take me.
I'm concentrating on building up some skill in short compositions, like tv spot music (of almost any variety). That ought to help me learn the instrument libraries and become more familiar with the DAW. From there, I'd like to think I could do some work for short films or documentaries, and possibly some indie video game makers. My ultimate goal is to write music for video games.
