I've posted this on the previous version of this forum before, but since all past content appears to have vanished into the ether, I thought I'd repost this to get things started again. Hope that's OK.
This fugue was written in 2021, and has some unconventional features, like an Answer that enters a minor 6th below the opening subject, which is itself harmonically ambiguous. The ending is literally off-beat, but (to my ears anyway) doesn't sound out-of-place. Bach would've rolled in his grave, IMO. ;-) I've been told that the transition to the slow section in m.50 is not very convincing, but I'm reasonably happy with it. (The original tempo was slower but Gx convinced me to up the metronome a little. I'm still on the fence about it.)
