  • this is again quite sweet with a greater sense of longing in the central section. Curious which piano you use here as for the most part the rendering works pretty well?

Although I rather like your piano writing in general, one has to ask the question whether you have never considered experimenting with moving away from a sort of pastiche early romantic style? Or are you perfectly happy just to turn out innumerable works in the same style -- which is actually perfectly OK if that's what you like.

    • Thanks David,

I'm using the M Audio Hammer 88 controller.

And Steinway Piano that is available through Logic Pro X.

I'm always experimenting with different styles. Beginning with Baroque ( String Symphonies) all the way to classical and romantic periods and to more modern styles. I think that I have posted a number of modern works on this site too. Some examples are "The Planets" and "Soundtrack" both available on my SoundCloud profile.

      Regards,

      • not at all bad for a stock piano, then! Anyway, I was referring specifically to your piano style and not the various experiments in orchestral "atmosphere" music (which are mostly not to my taste but that's neither here nor there)

I would refer you to this:

          • that is certainly a rather different soundworld
