Dear David, wow - I am more than impressed! It really sounds like you played this manually, don't you? so sensitive and tender!! Thank you so much!! Only the 32th notes of the loud passage around 1:38 sound quite harsh and not natural - here I wish it would be played by a real piano... Thank you!!!

Hi David -- that's certainly a much more dramatic interpretation than the original with rubato and more contrast and in general I like what you've done although there is severe distortion at climaxes in particular -- I don't know if the level is set too high or what. To be clear, I didn't aim to interpret the piece at all -- simply rendered with a different piano and a few minor balancing corrections.
I'm several months late to the action, but your render definitely does much more justice to the music than Gerd's original!
@Gerd: I'm quite impressed by your original composition, which stands out the Beethoven orchestrations you have been posting. The Beethoven influence is clearly heard, but your own voice shines through. Thanks for sharing!
