I have to admit - I forgot I was a member here and need to get back to checking out posts and responding here. In a bit of a "sorry!" to everyone - here's a track I finished last November. It's very short - intentionally so.
The recording started with a piano piece - mostly an improv - and this is the 2nd take. I then made four copies of that piano track in Logic... each with a prgressively heavier layer of processing... delay, pitch shift, time shift, distortion, reverb, etc... moved in different areas of the stereo field, never overpowering the piano front and center. Finally, I added the 'drone' - which is a Juno 106 noise patch going through two aux sends on my mixer - to a dual delay and a reverb unit - and the returns going into new channels. That way I can control feedback loops of each effect and cross-feedback. It's very controlled. The 'rushing' sound - the ebb and flow - of the drone is the feedback - not the synth or effects knobs.
I hope you enjoy it.
Yes it's for sale... but that's not the point of posting it. More info here: http://relaxedmachinery.com/releases/rm_0009-relaxed-machinery-artists-sleepmode/
