Music Composers Unite!

I spent a few hours today, choosing the best sax takes, performed by the Forum's Chris Alpiar. Excellent tracks- a lot of great material to choose from. It was a Remote Session(s). Me in Phoenix. He's in Atlanta. We exchanged files through Dropbox. His reference files were my MP3 versions of my arrangements. It was great fun trying different takes and placing his various solos/riffs in front of the backdrop of pre-recorded material. There were even sections of his solos that I placed with material that he had not used as a reference. It just happened to work well. So, I feel like I accomplished a lot today. Earlier in the day, I had changed the strings on my Jazz bass- I'm curious to hear the difference when I record some bass tomorrow.

Before these new flatwounds, probably about two years. I don't even remember what kind of strings they were, but I'm keeping them, in case I hate the new strings. Ha. (I haven't recorded them yet) Do you play/record bass?

I'm originally from New Yawk, so I prefer to avoid the 'au' sound. However, I really do like 'Boston Nova' for a band name...  I can say 'Bah-stin'
