"Hi Timothy, This is well performed and recorded, with what came across to me as a New Age/George Winston kind of vibe. I thought here and there I might have heard a few off-key notes that didn’t work, but this might be just a matter of…"

"Not familiar with that program. Interesting to hear how your worked through this and still came through with an excellent outcome. It's easy to double think ourselves in terms of the mix, at least for me, this is something I constantly do."

"This is a really nice composition. Great use of arpeggio synths and round robins. I seem to be missing some bass in the mix though. "

"The main theme comes to me as young love and maybe it points to a specific situation or maybe it doesn't. In any case, the feelings can be transferred which is what I think any composer would want. The fact that it doesn't transfer to me…"

"Very nice work! As you know much of music is subjective. As the track stands alone, it's excellent! Though I think if this were paired with a romantic scene in a movie I would envision it as set further back with less volume and more space in…"

"I think both track and mastering are excellent! This must represent a lot of work.  I tend to favor a sharper mix ie a little air in the 5khz range. I always figure the listener can roll it off with their tone control if it isn't…"

"Hello Timothy, Sounds Celtic to me! - plus a hint of something else I can’t quite identify. Perhaps you could pick one of the tunes you particularly are fond of and share a link to that one piece in a new post. A little explanation of the…"

Hello from Pennsylvania

Greetings from Pennsylvania!I have been writing music for quite some time now. It's odd but I never classified myself as a composer, just a guy who likes to make music. I'm a church worship leader. I play the piano and sing in that role.Occasionally I bring one of my stringed instruments along. I am a third year fiddle player. I still take lessons on the fiddle every week. I play in Irish sessions. My compositions have been called "celtic" and I call it that, but some would argue what "celtic"…See More

I have been involved in music for most of my life although I don't make a living at music. I would consider myself a hobbyist composer. I don't attempt to market any of my music, although I have released a guitar CD. I play guitar, piano, bouzouki, harmonica, and am an aspiring violinist. I am a worship leader/pianist at my local church. My website online mainly deals with world and Celtic music styles.
