It’s a piano song I wrote and I can’t hear anyone singing it but Willie Nelson with his wonderfully unique phrasing. I love that guy! Funny thing too because as a rule I really can’t stand country…Continue

This is a ukulele song I wrote with arrangement. It’s a virtual instrument uke where I transferred notes from my real uke into the Sonar 8.5 piano roll. Not a traditional uke strum but rather finger…Continue

The Blue Petal Waltz

This was one of my first attempts at writing an orchestral piece. I did it many years ago and was just learning how to use virtual instruments. It’s a short little waltz with my feeble attempt at…Continue

"I suppose that's a story about performing on the fly as they say here when you do something spontaneous. Well, what a story it is. I can't say "shame about the OCD" We're all as we are and no doubt the shrinks will find…"

"Thanks Dane. I figured out the piano and melody on my upright piano. Then I transferred the piano notes over to a virtual piano using Sonar. It needed some kind of intro and I just happened to be playing around with a patch on some virtual synth…"

"You've done it again!  The arrangement is excellent but is easily supported by the harmonic structure - yet again subtly different from some of your other songs. You seem to be a master of production in your style. You gave the guitar…"

"Another lovely song and one that, yes, cries out to be sung. Then again it's absolutely right as a warm-mooded background. A rainy day, warm inside with someone just, sort-of...being....I suppose.  You've surely had training in…"

"You should applaud yourself, you did well with both composition and DAW. The arrangement is fine. Any crit I had of it would only relate to my taste but the fact that It works as a waltz and your arrangement has a very real air of ballroom about it…"

"I liked it. We've had a bit of a warm spell here lately, so I couldn't think snow; rather, it sounded to me more like the beach level in Mario Kart 64. (I don't know what that means other than I want to go swimming.) Nicely done."

Soft The Snow

This is a ukulele song I wrote with arrangement. It’s a virtual instrument uke where I transferred notes from my real uke into the Sonar 8.5 piano roll. Not a traditional uke strum but rather finger picking. I play guitar with mostly finger picking and I found I like finger picking the uke too. What can I say... I’m a finger picker. This song badly needs a vocal but I don’t want to do the singing.. and besides, I haven’t written any lyrics outside of (“soft the snow is falling cold upon the…See More

The Blue Petal Waltz

This was one of my first attempts at writing an orchestral piece. I did it many years ago and was just learning how to use virtual instruments. It’s a short little waltz with my feeble attempt at arranging but it was a good learning experience as I struggled to get my head around a DAW, in this case, Sonar 8.5.https://soundcloud.com/user-686710883/the-blue-petal-waltzSee More
