How to write a Melody

Dear community at Composers´ForumMy colleague Gisela Paterno and I, in the edition, have released a fairly comprehensive article on 6 techniques for songwriting and instrumental compositionThe idea behind this material is to consolidate a truly useful guide for anyone intending to write a successful melody. The melody can later be used for different purposes. It could become a theme of a sonata or the beginning of a concerto, who knows...We wanted to share it with the community mainly because…See More

The difficult balance between teaching and writing music

I believe the majority of us composers have faced this predicament: creating VS making a living.Of course, one can not exist without the other. The sudden success of providing piano lessonsSoon after our graduation, we realize Steven Spielberg is not going to call us to get involved in a multi-billionaire production that could pay for our living expenses for the rest of our lives. What do we do?!90% of us will appeal to using the skills we have available to teach students of different levels…See More

London
About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
I have been working with music since I'm conscious of being human.
I started as a pianist, I developed into a composer, and now I can say I'm a musician.
I have written a decent amount of pieces for all the general instrument combinations -solo, duo, chamber, orchestra, coral-
I have premiered my pieces with different orchestras including -in the UK- the Camerata of London.
These last years, I'm mainly commited to try and understand the intricate mind of the man that signed the course of my academic life: Joseph Haydn.
I have recorded in audio and video 6 of his piano concertos to which I have composed cadenzas in all these cases.
If you want to listen to my work, it is easy; you can type my name on youtube.
