I'm a practicing architect that specializes in algorithmic design. This means I make sense of complex sets of conditions and harness them to create unforeseen forms. This is the sort of stuff I love to do. How is this musical in any way? Well, since it's just numbers that I work with and I've always been deeply moved by classical music, I came to entertain the strange notion that I might be able to do some hard work and develop a totally new way of composing by creating a new harmonic system based on physical rules instead of traditional composing rules. A year later I'm starting to be able to form studies and experiments and I hope to soon be able to develop compositions for performance. I guess that's why I'd like to join a forum of people who maybe view music in a totally different way than I do but might nonetheless be open to a bit of weirdness :P
