Dane Aubrun replied to Timothy Smith's discussion Tune- Across The Atlantic
"Very nice, Tim. Once I got into the 'dance mood' I got dissolved into its light, easy charm.
I see what you mean about counterpoint/counter melody at around 2'22" and that's fine. Altogether an easy piece to engage with. Were you playing the main…"

Timothy Smith replied to Hoot O'Neill's discussion Boogie Woogie Etude for Piano
" This is very well composed. For this style I kept wanting to hear a slower tempo for the underpinning Boogie Woogie part. I think the midi made it sound more nervous because it doesn't differentiate the dynamics in this version. Obviously a real…"

When the flute enters at 1'06" it seemed to get more constant. It also seemed a little long after the flute…"

  • Hi Tim, I missed this comment, the ning format is a bit dicey I think. I'm doing well thank you in spite of all of the craziness. Best wishes to you for Christmas and the New Year!
  • Good Morning Ingo,
I noticed a lot of changes on the forum since I was here last. Since this was posted it's been quite a ride hasn't it? How do you feel you have fared thus far?
  • Hi Tim, I looked at CF briefly this morning and I believe I saw a post from you talking about being affected by the pandemic situation and the particular difficulty it has for us as musicians. This is good to talk about since many of us have similar feelings I'm sure.

  • Welcome Timothy!
