I'm 50 years old and working as an independent sr. usability expert / software designer. I am currently working on Library Music tracks which for me (with 4 kids to support) is the best way to gradually switch to making music professionally. I have a composition setup with a Daw running Cubase 5, a dedicated reverb PC, three GigaStudio 3 sample PCs and a Kontakt PC (stack of 6 19"cases).
Look me up at www.facebook.com/peteremanuelroos
For reverb I use my own Impulse Response libraries (www.Samplicity.com).

Well, the duduk spent nearly a week at the Dutch customs!
I am going to pick it up at the post office tomorrow.
I guess it took them a while to find an Armenian native to prove it's not a secret Taliban weapon... ;-)
Darn it, now I'm interested in whether I could play Duduk, a craving I've not had before... your comment about customs made me laugh!
Love the trailer music.
Actually I already just ordered a duduk over there!
Duduk is kind of difficult if you don't have any reed experience, but sound isn't that hard to achieve, and if you start out with soft reeds you should be fine. It's a bit hard to get lessons anywhere though - I just listened to Gaspyaryan a lot, myself ;-) You can get good duduks & reeds (ghamish) at www.duduk.co.uk and www.duduk.com
I performed all the instruments on Rekindled, and the vocals were done by Charlie Pollock, a broadway vocalist.
Cheerio,
Alex
I'm still using those excellent Samplicity IRs!
cheers
Did I use the Duduk "appropriately"? ;-)
I am thinking about buying one myself and learn how to play it. Is it very difficult?
Cheers man! Delete Comment
The Aquila trailer music sounds great!
