"Hi Michael,
I started by playing in piano/keys/Hammond organ in my local church, Bethel United, Apostolic Pentecostal Church. It was a hard slog as the competition was great but healthy. My training started there, I learned to play by ear,…"

"Thanks for requesting me as a friend. I like your varied compositions. Endkampf sounds like a movie soundtrack, very nice. Do you ever use electronic instruments in your works?"

"Hi Michael, thanks for the friend request. I like Dreams of a Somnambulist composition. I want to study a little more in the 12 tone genre, starting with piano then moving on to an ensemble. How did you get started in music?"

"Wow great encouragement! People in general, including myself, are very nearsighted. We dont see the big picture: how decisions affect others, our careers, etc. Thanks again for the reminders!"

  • Hi Peter its great youre experimenting with different styles. The more we expand in doing this the more balanced we are. I started studying piano actually when I was 13 and my teacher also taught me theory and harmony. I later went on to study orchestration, counterpoint and piano at UC Irvine but had to drop out to take care of my mother who had cancer. Anyway, that's the sum of my education. How about you? I noticed you have a website. Who designed it for you? A website is my next step.

  • Hello Peter, "Endkampf"(= final combat) is in dead part of a film music score; I used samples as you mean this, I have no experiences in use of electronic instruments like ondes martenot, theremin or synthesizers in combination with traditional instruments. I was in a Masterclass with Stockhausen and I ´m very fascinated by his pieces like "Octophonie", it sounds a little bit "brucknerian" I think.
  • I certainly agree with your comment about Toru Takamitsu!
