Paul Jacobs replied to Tyler Hughes's discussion 10 pieces to introduce 20th and Century music
"The problem with introducing someone to all the different experimental styles of the 20th century is that you’ll probably do nothing but convince them that they don’t need listen to any of it.  My approach would not be to give them a survey of all…"

Paul Jacobs replied to GaribaldiMusic's discussion Is anybody here using Sibelius with Windows 7?

Paul Jacobs replied to GaribaldiMusic's discussion Is anybody here using Sibelius with Windows 7?
"Sorry for the late reply, but I'm using Sib. 6.2 with Windows 7 64-bit. Sibelius does freeze on me frequently and I would like to figure out why, but other than that it runs normal.

Paul Jacobs replied to Tyler Hughes's discussion Observations and Misconception about the road to Musical Composition (Self Taught or Academia)
"Hmmm, judging a composer's aptitude and quality by sales volume is not always a direct connection. James Joyce and William Faulkner are known to be two of the greatest 20th century novelists, but I don't think their sales volumes are through the…"
