About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
I am a musician and composer living in Los Angeles California. I moved to Los Angeles in 1983 from Oregon when I was accepted into the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute where I had the wonderful opportunity to play violin under the baton of Leonard Bernstein. He really knew how to rehearse a piece. He could accomplish in 15 minutes what others take a week. Enough about conductors.
As a young child, I have memories of listening to Verdi's Requiem, Dvorak's New World Symphony, and Schuberts' Fifth over and over at very high decibels. It's amazing I'm not deaf. Those were the days of vinyl monoraul. Stereo was just beginning to appear. My parents wanted me to play violin, but I wanted to play drums. I dreamed of drumming. My parents won that battle, but lost the war. I got my revenge when I became a teen ; ) I had private violin lessons from ages 8 to 24 and almost majored in music, but was too immature to see the value of a degree. Fifteen years later I majored in Computer Science. But alas, those jobs were off shored to China and India. So I got my masters to teach all levels of math. Meanwhile, a severe shortage of math teachers was declared, so we were told teachers would be brought in from the Philippines. What? Lower prices? Americans love a bargain... at any cost. After all of that, I realized I should have majored in music after all. Everything else has basically just gone to crap. Except for my health thank goodness. I realized it sounds cliche, but my music has helped me through this period of time.
On a lighter note - I've always loved modern music. Though I can site-read with the violin, I learned to play guitar and piano by ear as a teenager. The short pieces here are examples of some of my most current work made in the digital domain. In the near future I will be adding some guitar and synthesizer oriented pieces along with pieces of myself playing the violin. I've been happily married for 23 years with 2 shelties, and travel to England as frequently as possible.
I have a website too.

Hi Paul, thank you very much for your kind comment. I'm busy right now but I plan to visit your website soon. Sorry if my message is short but my english is short too !
Yours sincerely.
Paul, Hi. I love to play a few different styles, compose for bands, solo violin, and now hopefully film if I can overcome some educational hurdles. Trying to figure out how to get from sibelius to finished product in Protools. Never give up, that's what I tell myself.
