"Hi, Lennart.  'Glad you like Twinkle, Twinkle.  It's been used in a couple of independent films and some web sites.  You may also like Dare We Dream.  It's several variations of Brahms' Lullaby with some other night time themes thrown in.

I hope…"

"Thanks for butting in! You're right about the variations, by the way. What amazes me is the way he can create these dark chords and melodies that aren't muddy at all. His piano pieces often use left-handed triads, but it works beautifully.

  • great job
  • Hi Les. I've got some new songs uploaded. Visit my page when you get the time. I'd like to hear your comment on them.
  • Thanks Les. I did listen to Dare we Dream, and I liked that too. I will listen to the rest off them later. I will post more music myself, as soon as I get around to it.
  • Hey Les.  I'll take 'pretty interesting' as a compliment!  Sorry for the slow response, haven't checked out this site in ages!

I can't remember where the video came from...it was an old school project from many years ago.

I went to Dallas/Fort Worth last year with my american buddy who studies medicine, it was very very hot!!  Enjoyed Fort Worth though, some really interesting bars.

    Cheers

    Mike

  • Hi Les

Thanks for your reply, I have been busy writing songs but now need to record & upload them to the Composers Forum, I only play guitar but want to add other instruments & find the time to get to a recording studio.
  • I like your work Les & I have just watched the animation short which works very well.
  • Thank you! Anything of mine that will be performed & recorded live will assuredly be a Steinway (varying sizes, I suppose), since that we have at my college.
  • Honestly, everything with piano here (with the exception of "Wonder and Worry") were done in Logic - I just pick a piano sound already in the bank that most matches the style I'm going for (bright, dark, etc); from there, I usually tweak it with compression, reverb / space design, etc to get the more specific sound I'm looking to achieve. I'm glad you like how it sounds!
  • How ya doing Les, nice to meetcha! You're quite a guitar picker, loved the tone of Hand Over Fist, wish I could play like that :)
  • Hi Les. Welcome to the CF. Please post some rock, if possible.
