Jeremy David Hiebert replied to Eric Englehorn's discussion What Orchestral Virtual Instruments are you using?
"Hello Eric - in my experience the only legato violin worth getting at the moment is the Vienna Symphonic Library's solo violin. And to complement this, for fast staccato, I recommend checking out Signor Paganini Solo Violin."

Jeremy David Hiebert replied to ADENS SKY's discussion Best of the best String libraries?
"On a slightly different note - is the current 32GB iMac powerful enough to handle a basic sampled orchestra with some other unique sampled instruments thrown in?

Thanks for any reply."

"Intriguing compositions. My advice (unprofessional of course) is to keep experimenting, and don't be afraid to bring in an emotional element to your genre, which, instead of changing your genre, will only enhance it. Keep up the good work!"

  • Beautiful music... your music relaxed my mind, body and Sol.  I'm so inspired! Thanks so much for your comment on my profile. How many songs are on your new album?
  • Fascination is a good thing. Thanks!!
  • Ty Jeremy, nice to see you here, how are you?
  • nice relaxed music
  • Nothing fancy, just blood, sweat and tears. :-)
I come up with snippets of ideas, and they are worked and reworked, and reworked until they feel right. These ideas gradually dictate the overall atmosphere of a piece.
(Plus, I suspect, the subliminal effect of over 45 years of playing music (as a pianist) and listening to I don't know how many tens of thousands of different pieces of classical music )
  • Thank you very much, Jeremy! I'm actually working on writing something similar to what you describe for string quartet. Very different for me, but I'm trying new things.

Love your compositions. Forever is very nice!
  • Hi jeremy,
