"good job   fitting title  maybe you should contact Tim Burton in Hollywood

Julie Harris replied to Eric_P's discussion Welcome to Madtown - Dark and a bit silly
"Wow, Madtown is surprisingly sane and well-structured!   Not so mad, after all!   I thought it was well written and captivating.  Toward the end, it might have been even better to take us through some other keys, to arrive somewhere ... but maybe we…"

Eric_P replied to Ryland Lafferty's discussion New Piece - Tell Me What You Think
"Hi!
I think it's pretty good for what it is. Like Raymond said, it would work well for chilling with a drink or smoke. And I really like the "odd" sounding synth melody around 2:33. I'm a sucker for those types of sounds :)"

"Hi Ryan!
I also use Cubase 5 :) I have HSO but do not use it anymore since I've moved to the 64bit version of Cubase which isn't compatible with HSO :(

From what I've heard, VSL is a great library!

Cool, I currently reside in St Louis

Eric"

  • Eric, Welcome to the forum!
I use Sonar 8.5. I'm really into Remote Sessions- sharing tracks/performances via the net. I use a lot of live performances: drums, sax, elec guitar, and also some samples: piano, B3, vibes, and I might branch off and occasionally use other orchestral samples. I also record some keyboards directly into a fine mic preamp, ie Korg Z1, Clavia Nord Modular. I just ordered AcousticSamples' Old Black Grand piano collection. (I've been using my Quadrasynth Plus's 'True Stereo' patch. I hear good things about East West collections and VSL.
  • Hey Eric,

    Welcome.

I use Cubase 5 with Halion and Halion Symphonic sound fonts.
I would love to save enough scratch though and little by little build my symphonic library with Vienna Symphonic Library samples.

I'm up in the KC area, what part of Missouri are you from?
