  • Hi Doug, thanks for your interest in my album. It was a bit of a personal cathartic journey for me and isn't intended to be commercially successful, but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. There are some really good guest musicians playing on there too, including CF's own friendly neighbourhood admin, Chris Alpiar on soprano sax!
  • Hi Doug, Thanks for welcoming me. I've just been having a listen to your stuff, - nice! You have a well stocked studio too. I particularly love the look of the strat. Jamie
  • hi Doug,im using eastwest quantum leaps symphinic orchestra gold plus storm drum 2,Voices of passion,RA and a few other random plug ins like absynth 5 etc
  • HI Doug,

thanks alot for listening to the tracks!
Re Percussion:I used some Cinesamples 'Drums Of War' which is a small but great library of hugh generic percussion,it would fit into any style because its not specific or regional.
I also use Truestrike 2 which is pretty great aswell.

    Dean.
  • I need a patch bay. Last night I had a heck of a time routing wires and figuring our which channel was which. DAW > MOTU 828 > ISA 430 preamp > MOTU 828 > DAW. I used MOTU's Main Outputs(labeled Left & Right) and also MOTU's inputs: 1 & 2. Anyway, now all is well. I hope MOTU has drivers for the 828 mkII for Windows 7.
  • Fascinating music!
  • HI Doug. Thanks for the add. Great tunes on your site. There should be more :-)
  • thanks. Until something gets named, its coding right now is "somethingXvY" where X is the piece number in the something-folder, and Y iss the version number. I assume you heard something6v10, the one with the prominent timpanis the last coupek minutes? Awkward is likely putting it charitable, lol, I skipped around a lot teaching myself music... and it leads to glaring holes in the composition most times... I'm trying to backtrack and fill in the holes slowly, to elimiate the awkwardness and patchi-ness of my stuff. Glad you liked something! PS - I listened to the 2 tracks on your page. Solstice is freaking awesome! Jazzy with a chunk of Pink Floyd or something mixed in... really neat.
  • Thats really great! and yeah a preamp is my next investment =) one piece at a time right =) I just got studio monitors and the audio interface and the bass amp got a new cab this year so I have about spent my limit tell next bonus check after new years
  • Hey Doug!
Thanks for checking out my work! I'm Glad you enjoyed.. I like the sound you got going on here.
Is you music put together all on keyboard and with VST's? cause it sounds like a live band.
Nice work I like your style its got a nice fussion feel to it which I enjoy very much.

My first intro to classical music was wendy carlos switched on bach that I checked out from the book mobile.

my gear right now includes a fender jazz bass, Ibenez artist and an acoustic b200h with 4X10 cab that I use for both guitar and bass. It sounds really nice.. I should has some examples soon as I just got a audio interface for my PC so I can record now

    keep in touch man.
