Gavin Brown replied to Allison Danielle's discussion Selling Music Online
"I have had some small success selling music on two sites: Lulu.com and Musicaneo.com. Lulu is probably the better known of the two, but is more oriented towards traditional writing (by which I mean they don't allow you to put up an mp3). Musicaneo…"

"It's pretty mainstream to say, but Danny Elfman has been the source of a lot of my inspiration for my percussion pieces."

reduce the ambiance a bit as well. Unless that's the natural release time.

Allison Danielle replied to Allison Danielle's discussion Metamorphosis - Percussion Ensemble - Complete
"Thanks Raymond,
I usually leave all of my sound editing until last and was eager to be done with the score itself, so if it sounds a bit sloppy, that's why. I actually don't record anything. This is all done in Sibelius 6 with sounds…"

Allison Danielle replied to C. Alan Bistro's discussion Hi, I'm new to Composers Forum! Wanted to post a couple of tracks.
"That's some trippy stuff. It's super cool though! It's always nice to hear other percussionist's work. I'm going to a three day music festival this weekend called Eco Fest and if you don't mind, I'd really like to use these two pieces to play at my…"

Allison Danielle replied to Adrian Allan's discussion Contemplation for Violin and Piano

  • Thank you so much Allison for posting this nice comment! I had missed your comment until now ...

  • hey there.
you should search for the album "percussion in hi-fi", and I suggest getting it on the highest flac quality possible. you will fucking love it.

  • That is quite odd. I must say :v

  • I always mention the importance of rhythm and your music's got it! You would probably enjoy the beautiful Ginger Baker rhythms in the live recording of 'Spoonful' from the

    Wheels of Fire album.

  • Thanks! I use Sibelius.  I used Finale in my undergrad 10 years ago, but I made the switch to Sibelius when I graduated and got a Mac.  I really really love Sibelius, but I want to learn Finale so I can teach either.
  • I am hoping to get my DMA in composition at KU or UMKC starting next fall.  It was also just time for a change.  I like your music! I have yet to write for percussion ensemble.  I need to get on that.  And I should probably post some tunes to my profile. :)
  • Hi Allson! I had no idea where belle plaine was so I had to look it up. :) What do you do there?
  • Hi  Allison.  I enjoyed listening to Dante's Journey.  Your percussions are pure joy! :)
  • Great music Allison! This music makes me happy : )
  • Vielen Dank, Allison! Dein Deutsch ist aber ganz entzückend. Ich werde mir Deine Stücke noch einmal in Ruhe anhören. Ich liebe das Marimbaphon!
