This appears to be a useful learning tool for students that already have a relatively good grounding in counterpoint - however, if they are relative beginners they may not be able to interpret the comments you have included in your example…"

"Hi! Thanks a lot for detailed answers.
I use latest versions of sample modeling for all woodwinds and brass.
Last flute note is short, this is why it sounds strange. You can increase length of note and it will sound ok.
I uploaded NotePerformer…"

I was curious to listen having read the posts and I agree with Antonio about adding ambience. I do also think that Antonios' sounds are closer in timbre to the real thing, as well as the legato performance and overall feel. What sounds…"

Yes, those are the tracks.
For note endings, I meant the last note before a silence. Look at the waveform in the files I attached and compare them to your waveforms.

  • Okay, I see. Have been away for a while I will listen to your other tune (Walker) now) and be back a few thoughts or advice/opinions if I have any. Haven't had time to read the article. Will asap. Probably during this evening or tomorrow. Interesting stuff!

Btw, feel free to comment on my filmic piece about a tank-battle on Russian soil! At Kursk (not the sub)  the

Wehrmacht and Red Army Tanks, met in a fierce battle. Stalin won.

(The fundamental "form" (ABABAB and sometimes a C) is there compositionwise, I just feel I want to develop it more in either a classical or hollywoodesque/Zimmer-direction).  But the mix and production is what I need most feedback on, I did it in 2006.

    Now listening to Walker.

  • By the way, I did listen to your quartet. I did not comment because I cant add any constructive comments to this style and you seem to know far more about the style than me.

  • pleased to recommend your website. I think you should link to it on the main page. I wasnt sure how the chord or harmony analyser worked, perhaps you could explain it as it looks very interesting.
  • In what way is expmaps (for ewql?) faulty in cubase? I drew the expcurve manually last time i used ewql (which is not often) and ut sounded ås ut should. Typos- writing on my phone. Will listen to the oter piece when I return!
  • Listening to run now. But here on your page. (Are they different compositionwise?)
This mix of woodwinds is more realistic than Adrian's, they're all in the same hall.
On this quick listen (I was captivated by the compostion!) I didn't listen for subtler mix-issues and have to leave for a few hours soon.

Did you use expression and ks?

A very intersteing piece and I enjoyed it and will return for more listens!
Its build-up is truly professional to my ears. Well done!

  • Very interested in variety of music you.
