Sweet Hour Of Prayer

This is music based on an old hymn I grew up with xcalled " Sweet Hour Of Prayer"

I'm using Tina Quo Cello Legato, Joshua Bell violin, Soundiron's harp, a pad patch from Spitfire's Albion One. Reverb is Vallhala Shimmer using the concert hall setting mixed at 40/50%. Horns are low and are Spitfire's BBCSO CORE.

  • Very nice, Tim.

  • Thank you.

  • The Shimmer effect sounded like a cathedral on steroids but I enjoyed the mood it set. At night with lots of candles. An interesting and enjoyable arrangement of musical ideas based on that hymn.

  • Dear Tim, this is really moving - my favourite piece from you so far! I like how the strings are interacting and seemingly mingle with each other und so create what true prayer is all about -  a most beautiful sense of transcendence and spirituality. Thank you!!

    Sweet hour of prayer
That calls me from a world of care
And bids me at my Father's throne
Make all my wants and wishes known
In seasons of distress and grief
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter's snare
By Thy return, sweet hour of prayer
