Would anyone happen to know if there are websites/companies where you can view and submit songs for advertising, film, & interactive media? (Preferably without an annual fee.)

The only one I've come across so far is Tracks & Fields, but they require you pay an annual fee in order to submit. I am currently poor.

Thankyou! :)

  • you can make a "portfolio" of your work that you think would interest them, write a CV and send those to big and small  advertising and film companies and why not, game companies. I would strongly advise you  to copyright your work first though.
  • thank you!

is it possible to copyright notated music? i know you can copyright lyrics, but chord progressions/tunes?

  • Yes you can (and you should) copyright music - either a basic version (melody + chords, typically symbol, or piano notation), or a full version (the entire score, if it's a symphonic piece for example). Both have their advantages and disadvantages you should consider. I would best recomend checking with your country's copyright organisations for specific standards.
