Presence - Piano/Electronics

Hey all,

Just wanted to get some critique on this song I wrote a couple months ago. I'm in the polishing up phase on several things right now and I was curious your all's opinion on how I might improve this one. It's meant to be quite ambient in nature though I always like a flash of drama in my work. Especially useful are any technical tips you may have regarding the production side of things. Thanks a lot for listening!

    Hi Robert,

    I found this nice. I like ambient and listen to it quite a bit. If there is one thing I could suggest, it would be to speed it up a hair, maybe about 5-10% or so. At its present tempo, it feels a little dirge-like.

    A simple idea, presented in a simple way as it should be, in my opinion. I enjoyed the listen. 

    Personally, I would have preferred just the track as piano. Or, taken the ambient noises and presented them as a very dull, static like sound effect lingering in the back ground. I didn't like the choice of having them become so loud, up front in the mix towards the end. The mix could benefit from some hi end, none of the instruments truly capture the high end in my opinion.

    Thanks guys, this is helpful. I'll experiment a bit and see what I can do with instrumentation and/or better EQ.
