Hello to all new members, we are glad you have chosen to join the Composers’ Forum, a FREE site provided specifically for composers to talk with each other, share works, and get comments and input from other composers on your music.
The forum is a big place, with over 4,000 members and a number of ways you can use it. Perhaps you’re not sure of where to begin. This post is intended to help you get started and give you a little insight into how you can use the Forum to get the most out of it.
1) It’s a good idea to check out the “Posting Policy,” which is at the top of the home page.
2) You can post your music on your page, in a blog, in the video section, or in the forum section (this is the main listing of topics running down the center of the home page). Of all these places, you are most likely to get feedback and commentary in the forum, so that should be your goal.
3) When you post your music, if you get responses, please be ready that they may not always be positive. That is why you are here: to get the honest reaction from your peers. It’s important to respond to all comments, even if you don’t agree with them. If you are not sure how to respond to a comment you disagree with, a short reply, such as “Thanks!” will do.
4) Be patient, it may take a while for others to notice your postings and respond to them.
If you have any questions not answered above, please feel free to post them in reply to this message
