Hi, folks!

Lullaby o Hale Pilialoha: Dropbox Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/abnqo8sb6bbdzqt/Lullaby%20o%20Hale%20Pilialoha.mp3?dl=0

I am going through my old music these days as part of releasing it to the public, and I dug this one up from March 17, 2011, recorded on computer for violin, viola and cello. I wonder if anyone can say if this song is finished or not? There are lo-o-o-ong solo passages. At first, I thought it was going to be a full-on trio, but when I got it this far I had the very clear sense that it was done and I should stop. It’s called “Lullaby o Hale Pilialoha,” which means lullaby of the house of friendship shading into love. Hale Pilialoha is the name of our little house on Kauai, that sings us sweetly to sleep every night with its safety, its resources and its sense that we are home. I listened into Hale Pilialoha one late night, and heard this – a mother singing her child to sleep. Maybe the long solos are just right. What do you think?
