I'm a new member here so I apologize if I'm not going about this the right way - please let me know if so.
I have a short piano composition here that was inspired by all the winter that's been going on (at least where I live). I personally dislike winter, so I wrote this song with the aim to somehow reconcile with it and create harmony out of the otherwise distasteful weather.
My only concern with this piece is that the left-hand progression is repetitive - it simply repeats a simple arpeggiated pattern throughout the entire piece. Not that I think that is bad, but I'm afraid it might be too boring on the ears.
I would love constructive criticism on the piece. I am very new to composing and am looking to learn as much as possible.
I have posted both the link to the video and sheet music here. The title of the song is "stars in an igloo" (yes, the name is all lower-case, and I know this may be agitating for some of you. I apologize).
