It set out sounding weird and wonderful and I was expecting something gently concrète - but alas, around the 0'38" it affirmed its tonal base with a long drone. As the duration is little over 2 minutes you get away with it but it does seem filmic but not characterised as an incantation. It has a breadth, much like the Vangelis track to the original Blade Runner.
You might be on to a good thing though - Zimmer won an oscar for his soundtrack to Dune, much of it based on a drone that varied only in amplitude.
