Hello all! It's been a while since my last post. Shortly after that my device on which I created all my music on went down. Therefore, I had to get a replacement. Now that I officially have it up and going I made this song. I imagine it taking place in a quiet woodland, where nothing but the sounds of the forest surround you. As if it was talking. That gave me the title, "Forest Talk". But, if you have a different interpretation I would love to hear it! Hope you enjoy the listen.

  • Hi Layne

It needs light and shade. I was expecting the piece to start very quietly with a few builds and ending quietly again. Pianos and fortes, crescendo and diminuendo would be good.

I have to say I didn't like the off beat strings at 47" and was grateful when they stopped. Lessening the accents would be better I think.

    • Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it! Apologies for the delayed response. Accents are definitely something that I am working on trying to harness. When to use them, how to use them more effectively, and the such.

  • I like it. Reminds me of music I used to listen to by Per-Erik Rosqvist. He was very much inspired by nature and folklore. His profile is still here on the forum but not sure about his music. I don't have any criticisms and merely wish to encourage you to continue doing what you're doing. By the way, Per also used a DAW to compose. Interesting. :)

    • That is very interesting! I will be sure to see if I can find his work. Thank you for the feedback and encouragement!
