Hey guys,
My name is Owain Hoskins and I am from the UK. I have recently started composing again since finishing my degree in Popular Music Performance back in 2011. I have written for a couple of opportunities and I am currently working on 2 short films for different directors. It would mean a lot if you could have a listen to my tracks and tell me what you think?
My soundcloud page is

I also have a Facebook page
Thank you for your time

Hi Owain Hoskins, Welcome!
You ask, "could have a listen to my tracks and tell me what you think?"
So… I listened to your 1st track - "Never ending.." Firstly, it starts with, to my mind, too obvious a reference to "while my guitar gently weeps" -- … Whether or not you are aware of this, to me it , well, immediately had me thinking of that song… If that was your inspiration, i'd suggest you hide your 'footsteps' a little better… And if you hadn't heard it, take a listen, and see what you think.
Also, i found it quite repetitive… perhaps that is what you were going for though, something "Never ending"… I don't know.
I apologize if i seem at bit rough, but i thought you might appreciate an honest response.

Hey, Bob.
And perhaps it doesn't really matter, if is not obvious to others. Truly.
But since you responded to what i said, a few words:
The structure of this piece is on a 4 chord loop..
When the violins come in at around 22 seconds, and state the theme, for the first three bars - it is the same as gently weeps. And this pattern is repeated, as it does in 'gently weeps'. Granted, the instrumentation is different. Tempo about the same..
Finally, my response is subjective… And if one doesn't hear the reference, perhaps many won't either, so maybe what i am saying Really doesn't matter. I was only giving my response..
No harm intended.
