Colours of Music

Colours of Music

Hi all,

This is my composition entitled 'Colours of Music'. It's a piece I created early on this year. If possible, I would like to get some opinions on it, some critique, and some suggestions for improvement. Thanks.

  • Very cute, I liked it a lot. Only thing is that you lost me a little when you introduced the backbeat just because I feel it has been overplayed in this genre (but that is just personal opinion) but besides that I really loved it, I could see it being the backdrop to a machinarium style indie game.

  • Thanks for the feedback :). It's great to finally get a constructive opinion which I can take away and use to improve my work.

  • Hi Brandon,    Enjoyed the calm serenity of the piece.

I felt like I was watching a saronged  Vietnamese lady

poling down a misty river at dawn. To me it had an east

Asian mix to it . The reverb was a bit much at first.    All in all - nice work   - RS

  • Thanks for the feedback. Having listened back to the track I can understand where you're coming from in terms of the mix. Thanks also for pointing the reverb issue out. Mixing is one of those skills I've never quite fully grasped, but I'll be studying it next semester at university, so hopefully I should be able to tighten the mix up having practiced a little. Thanks again for the help.
