Aria's Lullaby: A girl has not seen her father in a while. She is in her bedroom listening to the music box that her father built her. As soon as she starts to play the melody on her flute, her father hears her, walks into her bedroom, and then sees her. The girl stops playing, but her father motions her to please continue. The girl finishes the lullaby, and then they embrace as she welcomes him home.

  • Rodney!  You're human!

  • Hi Rodney,

This is charming and delicate.. I could easily visualize the scene.  Very nicely done!

  • Hi, Rodney,

Thank you for taking my surprise interjection so graciously.

I was, of course joking, since there were already some indications of your human status prior to this tender and wonderful piece which did, however, remove lingering doubts.

I can't help joking today, I'm in that kind of mood.  Your piece is lovely and I'm glad to have heard it.  I often have appreciated what you offer to this forum, as I think everybody does.

Thanks for not taking offense.  :-)

  • Hi Rodney, very creative and tender.

I have got to know how you accomplished getting  such a

realistic music box sound. That was amazing.

I wrote a short lullaby a while ago and would love to redo it

capturing that same sound quality.    RS

  • Rodney

I'm always taken by simplicity and sincerity of lullabies.

    Well done!

No criticism, just a comment. Your sound file is in WAV format. For those of us pensioners who need to watch our pennies, a 50Mb download has an impact. Even though the quality of MP3 is less than optimal, most of us can't hear the difference. Perhaps you could consider using a compressed format for download.

  • Oh... nice... Really something 'good night' sound, with that winding-up at the start. I love it!

  • Oh I take absolutely no offense on what you wrote. Thank for your encouragement again. I am still fascinated by your comment though. It has stuck with me for a couple of days now. Is there something about this piece that makes it more human or my persona ?
