Does anyone know the voting records of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain on music related legislation, copyright law, internet freedom, etc?

Im not sure but Im voting for Obama! I figure they are all puppets but at least if I get the most idealistic candidate who approaches things from an activist stand point rather then a martini slimeball politician stand point then we have a shot at seeing some positive change

I just find it so amazing to know that there is a good possibility of either a Woman or an African American President. And they both seem quite intelligent and compassionate which are the most important qualifications. Only good things can happen for your country!

I'm feeling Obama for the same reasons Chris said. I kinda liked John Edwards a little for some reason but I wouldnt have voted for him.

I don'y know much about the current slate of candidates record on musical and copyright issues ( The most consistentent friend of creatives and musicians for many years has been John Conyers of MI ), but I do know that I'm all the way behind Barack Obama.

Having said that, it it turns out the Hilary is the candidate, I would also be able to vote for her with a pretty clear conscience. I just feel the residual animosiity towards her could play a part in a close election.

The good news is the drooling petulant idiot and his Wehrmacht will be outta here in January!!!

"mah petulations will play no part in animositations toward the current candidations."
- Dubya? or Archie Bunker?

I only hope that for the remainder off the year, someone with a chain saw is poised over DUBByas arm containing the hand and finger poised over the red button labeled "Iran" in case the current POTUS summons up a petulant attempt
at refocusing the spotlight on HIM during this election season.

( BTW: has anyone seen any sign of Chjeney recently? I get real itchy when he burrows into one of his many blastproof cornholes ..)

I am not sure what Hillary or Barack's voting records are on this issue. I do know that Al Gore was a staunch supporter of composers and songwriters rights, but part of that was probably part political necessity as Nashville is in his home state.

Since Edwards is gone from the race, I am now supporting Obama. I think the only hope for real change in Washington is to elect someone who is not part of the mainstream, which the Clinton's are. I don't think anyone owns Barack and that is what I like most about him. It will be interesting to see what happens this Tuesday.

The interesting side issue is McCain being born in Panama. So constitutionally, is he even allowed to be president?

Leon :

This has been settled ..he was born to a military family on a US base.

Unquestionably an American citizen .. he is a fine citizen, but I'd never vote for him.
