Music Composers Unite!

Finished this short last month. Unfortunately I had only 2 days to do the whole thing, so not everything is where I would like it. But still pretty fun. The film is written, directed and lead actor is Victoria Goring and her daughter.

Weber's Sonata No.3 has a very strong tragic contrast similar to this film:

Compare Allegro Feroce (page 63) with dolce tranquillo (page 65) and then feroce again (page 68)

Thanks for your thoughts Andrew, I will take it all in and make some changes.

Interesting piece. Trying to provide some critique. As the video sequence has repeated motives with different mood, so should be the music. In other words, the repeated fragments of music need additional colors. In some places the melody would win if played an octave up or by a different instrument. For example, in the light part, starting from 4:16, I would apply either another instrument or rise the melody by an octave. Maybe the bass can be modified too, e.g. played by string pizzicato or even by light piano staccatos. In 5:50 (the concluding part) the melody would be better played by a flute. Current instrument, playing the melody, is slightly overused. I would also add a couple of fermatas or ritenutos where strong actor gestures are applied.

obviously this is my mix, the final has the music more subdued lol
