"Hi Timothy,  Many thanks for dropping your thoughts. I always wonder how a piece I compose sounds in others' ears. I love it when I get such a feedback considering the weaknesses one might notice yet propose solutions to it. I see your…"

Timothy Smith replied to Islam Y.Omari's discussion Journey; An original piano solo, I'd be grateful if you share your thoughts in a comment :)
"I thought the theme was interesting . You are quite a good pianist! The rest is strictly a matter of personal opinion so please take it as such. The tune maintained the theme throughout with no extreme breaks of any kind. I think this makes the…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Saul Gefen's discussion Song Without Words In E minor for Piano and Violin (Score Included)
"Interesting builds, although it is in a minor key but it manages to have some kind of a happy vibe that holds the theme together, I liked the dark harmony that mimic the one used in classical music and sometimes it modulates to major chords I guess,…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Stephen C. Doonan's discussion Abstract 1 - piano solo
"Hi Stephen,  I liked that you were using a lot of dissonant intervals but somehow it sounds pretty much consonant; It sounds really abstract as the title claims, I think this is a perfect layout to build leading instruments on top of it…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to OscoBosco's discussion My piano etude in c minor
"That's really impressive. I would recommend a better recording quality. With that kind of recording, you are quite loosing a bit of the dynamics. The musicality, the base line, the technicality, Melody, Harmony; All working in synergy and…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Disconnectica's discussion The Remaining Rag (ragtime & boogie piano solo)
"This one is very nice. I liked the boogie woogie style. The walking bass is really moving. It's a mix of so money things. Sounds so Jazzy at some parts. I can tell it is a 1920,s kinda of a style. Very interesting. Did you play this yourself on…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Randy Kim's discussion Arctic Petals (Original Piano Composition)
"It is very beautiful, I love it. Well done. I can not wait to hear more of this. Spectacular in every sense. You took that vi-IV-I-V progression to a completely next level. Bravo Bravo Bravo Randy. Your build ups are very catchy, the use of dynamics…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Christophe Heroufosse's discussion Amalia
"Hi Amalia, It's soothing for sure as Michael said, it's full of calmness that works perfectly to relax in a spa. On the other hand, I kinda felt that the piece is a group of separate phrases that were combined all together, I could have…"

Islam Y.Omari replied to Disconnectica's discussion Stitches (piano solo)
"It.s full of classical vibes; You have used a lot of deceptive Cadence showing massively with the harmony choice of yours using the left hand. I kinda felt it works perfectly as a background music for a silent movie. I see a good effort here. The…"

About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
My name is Islam Omari. I have been playing the piano for almost 10 years now on and off. Although my education is architecture, however, I have been passionate about music ever since I was a little kid. I like to compose music, sing and play the piano (my main instrument). I have been always looking for an interactive platform where I can share my composed music, listen to peers' composed music, receive feedback, evaluate myself and eventually, build my progress. I really hope that you like the music that I compose and I would really like if you share with me your thoughts, ideas and rooms for improvements.

Best Regards
Islam Omari
