Like Anne, I did listen to this alot some time ago. I promised to leave a comment of every individual piece OR on the whole... :)
So here it is:
I sense some common bond in your music, that can be communicated over national/cultural borders like few. Now, you've been living in Sweden so maybe it easier because of that ;)
I enjoyed your music more than any of the "modern western classical composers" I've been listening to lately, and I don't even know why. I have cd's all over the place.

Now, listening again I get that same feeling. Some great pieces of work you have got here!

Hi again Ahmad!

I promised to come back today so here I am. Unfortunately, I don't have time to listen at the moment but I did listen to ALL your works quite some time ago. Your music is very lively and very meaningful and I find that you give JOY through your music both in composition and in performance. I cannot comment too much on your music in any other way because I don't have the language to do so. I wish you well and I promise to come back again as soon as I can.

Cheers (and Sunshine!), Anne

P.S. You have produced some exceptional videos too which I found very absorbing.

Ahmad, You are so very sweet! Thank you for such a warm welcome back for me! Now I can listen to your music again too. I hope we meet in person one day and I hope, if you are ever in Ottawa, that you will come to my home for supper! Thanks so very, very much! Yours, Anne

Hi Ahmad, thanx.

I am a music tutor (Violin & Viola) at BIS Jakarta. Please listen to the one of my composition on my page, this web, tell you about pentatonic of Java, Nusantara. Lovely. It's, 'SEMANGGI SUROBOYO' one of the real story that I have composed for my orchestra style. And it will be played, in concert, by NUSANTARA CHAMBER CAMPURKESTRA on august this year in Jakarta. And it's the first time for me, as a Music Director and Conductor. Feel free to inform me or give some sugessions or contact me. I have been learning & interesting about ethnic music in my country.

Hi Ahmad, I've found you too now. Your playing is wonderful. Do you have a recording set up at home? I'm sometimes asked for non-Western European violin recordings and (not surprisingly) I can't do it!

Thank you but my music is my son Chris Merritt. He asked me to join his forum so I could relate to his work. I am not a composer.

Yep you're right. I visited London two-three years ago. And really expensive as you say.

But as clean as Stockholm, it seemed like anyway, nowadays.

I'm continuing to listen to your playlist.. ;)

I said I would comment on the music you put here, but I am still listening to it.. :) Very impressive! As I said I will try to leave a comment on the whole when i find the words. ;)

Interesting with Evert Taube, I have been wanting to make a version of one or two of his songs myself..

I am happy you liked the second. I working on my sense for Swedish folk but like to mix with other types. Feel free to listen to Lovsång till dagen under Music dissection that I just put there.
And happy you liked the trip here.

The harmonics are delicious in this kind of music, sensual yet thoughtful and rich...

I'm listening to the first track, but will listen through the whole list during the rest of the day, and comment again after that.

Very inspiring is all I can say now..

That kind of musical mood is inspiring me by the gross. Fascinating compositions. (I try to quote some Arabic-feel on my Battle Of The Infinities record... poorly :) )
High respect to you! George
