We have something in common: I too have worked as a journalist (although not for such impressive publications). I've always loved music, and since the age of about 8 music composition has been as natural as talking for me. But at the ripe age of 48 I'm getting serious about composition and both hope and plan to market my music.

I only have two songs here now. But I'm currently working on a package of 8 instrumentals, some of which I'll post here after I complete the package.

It would be a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Every track is great. Arabian Dream is my favorite and makes me homesick for Milwaukee. Your music is clear, unpretentious, and very well structured. It would be nice to hear much more from you.

Bob, I really like your "Arabian Dream". It reminds me a bit of Mike Batt's Caravan soundtrack. Your music is great - hope I can learn from you!

Your music is the most amazing, touching, energetic, ambient, philosophic, well instrumented, performed and organized of what I heard in the latest time...

Hello there Bob.
I must say that I'm overwhelmed by your music! Your productions make me want to through my computer in the dumpster.. What software are you using for your orchestral mockups? Is it real orchestra on the tracks presented here? Anyway: Wow and thanks for letting us listen to your great compositions!

Bob, thanks for your really kind words. Unfortunately I often read this site from work and so don't get to hear enough material from other composers. I will listen to your music at home tonight!

Hi Bob,

I like your music. Very energy driven and the rythmic ideas flow effortlessly through. How did you land the Discovery Channel Gig? I've been wanting to write for them for years.

Bob,
I just posted 6 new songs I wrote because I just got Mp-3's of them to put up here. Give a listen and tell me what you think. I enjoy songwriting but don't get to do it often - here is the best of my work in this genre! ENJOY

hi bob the screened music site is still in beta and will 'go live' in september i think. they provided the first opportunity to pitch for an ad earlier this month. the work went to one of the screened music composers and i think the aim is that they will be trying to do much more of this type of thing in the future. it will be interesting to see how it develops.

hi bob
thanks for your kind words about 'crying sometimes' - i have really enjoyed listening to your tracks too. i agree with much of your myspace blog comments about finding work - there is a site currently being set up in the uk at www.screenedmusic.co.uk which i think is trying to address some of the 'finding work' issues - i dont know if there is anything similar in the US
