Cheers. Some of the tracks are some years old and you'll be able to hear a difference in sound quality. I used to use Logic Silver v3.5 on a PC. Now Logic is only supported on Macs. Thanks again for showing interest in my stuff! Best wishes, Alex
Hi Cody. Welcome to Composer's Forum! Thank you very much for your compliment. It does me good. I wrote this piece based on a horror story by a guy called H.P. Lovecraft. I love the story so much that I really knew what I wanted when I started composing. I used sounds from Logic Pro Studio that I run on my iMac. The sounds are so good, my old Roland synth is almost redundant! I also use a Digidesign mBox2 as an audio interface. The mixing tools on Logic Pro are, well, pro so that helps me shape the sound! I'm so glad you like it.
I know you're a songwriter which is great. There's a song of mine called Overcast on my player. I'd be interested to hear what you thought of it. I've also got two new songs with lyrics almost finished and I'm very happy with them! I'll definitely post them here. Good luck with your mammoth composing task. Alex
Hey Code, thanks for that reply, and im quite well, "same old, same old", been developing some apps and webpages, no time for music unfortunately, maybe in the near future will finish some projects I have in the waiting room but for now i just can't get into it. Have a good one!
Even through the terrible recordings here there is something worth telling you.
Go read about and listen to Jeff Buckley. You can do that stuff, give it a try.
We all have different propensities and capacities, and comparing one to another is of little value. The thing is to find out what floats our boat and procede with caution, humilty and much passion. So, keep composing. Expand your comfort zone; keep studying lots of music in lots of styles and from many eras. We are not alone in composing, but composing is a solitary activity. Stay at it, and - as I say most of the time - enjoy the process. That's mostly what we have.
I'm visiting Omaha, Nebraska for a few days; going to teach fly tying and make a fly fishing presentation, as well. Fun stuff. Dale

Hi Cody.
Thanks for writing back. Sure hope you get some of the encouragement you need from folks, whether here or in other places. Eventually, I suppose we realize that composing is a solitary activity that takes time and patience, as do most things, some with less solitude. Enjoy the process. Dale
