Thank you for the message. I am still finding my voice musically and have lots to share in the next couple months. Going to check out your music and leave another comment when I get a chance. Take care of yourself!
Hi Tony: Thanks for listening and for your kind comments. Perhaps you can help me on a related matter. Several people have been nice enough to post comments on this piece and I have received emails letting me know that comments have been posted but yours is the first I've been able to actually see on my page. I'm a newcomer to this forum as you know so I must be doing something wrong but I can't figure out what it is. Can you pointme in the right direction?
Hello Tony ! Wasn't sure what to expect when I signed up today on this forum today. I use Sibelius (ver 6) for my notation software and have Logic Pro for when I want to produce something more precisely engineered, or am working with a film clip. The latter is rare but I have had a couple opportunities to help a friend as he scored a short film. I also love Logic for its incredible software synthesizers and their potential for use in live performance. Not only for myself, but my wife too, who is a fine jazz pianist. As far as "computer music", when I did my CS masters at Yale in the '90s I was working with a team involved in functional programming and created an interface to do rudimentary music composition using Haskell as the front end: and the interface was driving the digital signal processor in a NeXT workstation via a Common Lisp music package called "Common Music." But despite my CS and math background, I'm not really interested in "computer music" per se: if one calls "computer music" using algorithms to assist in the creation of the composition.
Having the computer background DOES come in handy just keeping all these damn drivers, peripherals, ports, wires, etc all straight so what I do have in my studio works right. A challenge enough as it is ;-)
Hi Tony, many thanks for your kind words. In fact the film/tv thing is a new exploration for me. Previously, I only composed for the concert hall (and a couple of theatre-based projects) - choral stuffs; orchestral works; some concerti; chamber ensemble things; solo instrumental doo-daahs. I guess I should find a way to incorporate some of that music in to my profile.

Still no music and no avatar. It's not much of an ask that composers share a little bit of their work is it.
