Second, I am sorry for the very late reply; I was in many trips,
Thank you very much for your kind and nice comment, I really became happy from your beautiful words and really I appreciate that and I’m so glad you liked my music.
Yes my long stay in Swede (and sometimes London) was very useful for me, here in Sweden I performed my music and the Swedish (or the Western) like my music and thanks for God that all ways I play my music the Swedish like it, even in USA I performed one of my compositions (Kurdistan Symphonic Suite) and the musicians and the people like it.
I try my best to write not in the ordinary style and chose Oriental scales and rhythms and that’s my music.
Me and my friend (she is a professional filmmaker) from Nörrkoping were listening to your stuff we really like you tracks, me personally I love your song Sången i skogen, and your Nocturne is great as well,
Have a nice time,

Nevermind, just wondering :)
Yes, Tenerife is quite a popular destination for tourism, but if you know how to avoid the crowded areas you have a very interesting island you can enjoy without masification. If you have the help of an "insider", it is a wonderful place to visit!
Merry Christmas and prosperous new year to you too, Per! hope you enjoy! :)

Ni-hao Per-Erik!
Thanks for the listening and kind words. When you say the second track, you mean "The Cat and the Hat"?
Seasons greetings!
Just a tip: Try romanticism first (Schubert, Liszt, mussorgsky...)
Then to late romanticism (Bruckner, Ravel, Debussy, Shostakovitch...)
Very personal first step for me was then Bartok, and much later did I start enjoying Schönberg, Berg, Webern... etc. ...
This was rather my personal path - Guess the chronical order of composers, does have something to do with the evolutionary acceptance of our "human ears".
I'm a fan of dramatic "russian" music, so maybe you might enjoy rather soothing music like debussy's... ?
I've just listened to your nocturne, as you would know, the purpose of a nocturne is to evoke qualities of night in the music, I think the orchestra does this well in the ritornello, but I seem to loose that sense of the night once the vocal entry occurs. I do like the orchestration, especially the auxillary percussion which lends to the style of music.

Hi Per-Erik, thanks for the reply.
Yes I meant Chinese folk-music, anyway Erhu has such a unique flavour that even if used to perform Bach it would still sound oriental :)
What part of China did you visit if I may ask? There are so many different music traditions there! Did you get to hear some oygour music?

Hello Per-Erik
I am listening to Evolution Mist and like the atmosphere it creates. The pentatonic taste of it obliges me to think of China, even if timbre would differ from their classical popular music.
I like the depth you achieve with the use of strings. Interesting!

thanks alot for commenting back, even when its late, that makes it even cooler cause you remembered =P
its good to hear that my songs have something DISTINCT so far
i like it when i watch a movie and i can recognize an musicians style, that impresses me, that music can be so "personal"~
i still have to learn alot about mastering and EQ i think =x
sometimes my tracks sound crouded at some point and i think i could divide and structure them better with volume and stereo and eq, so that they dont use the same area~
(ok while writing about it i came to an idea, thank you! =D )
jochen hippel.. hm never heard of him before...
*wiki* oh wow! he really did alot of classics!
and lately i really love chiptune^^
i'll give it a listen!
thanks!
yeah nowadays there is alot of film-soundtrack-isque music in videogames... but it dont has to be~
i think it depends on the style of the game, it has to fit..
like for example in dragon quest 8 they got so much over the top imo~
but most probably its just the "echo/reverb" of that big concert hall that annoys me...
its so classical and biiig and roomish and the game seems to be so anime and easier in style~ so i personally dont think it fits~
anyway~ enough of ranting^^
thanks for the comment and i look up for your new piece =D
cu later!
Chris~
Bouryngsleigh also Bowringsleigh is a place in Southwestern England where my mother's family came from before they immigrated to the US in the late 1600s. I was looking at some pictures, and there are large pillars that sit astride a pathway to the old house built in the later 1200s.
hey thanks alot for returning to comment =D
also thx for a listen!
hm now that you say it and i relisten to it again... eternity is pretty SMASHING..hm i liked that idea at the end, but in the middle its really penetrating~
i am mostly aiming for game music in style(since i also listen to it alot)
so thats not seen negative imo ^^ thx!
i am just still a bit simple in structuring the songs... they are really repeative and stuff.. no use for a film score, but more for a game score then...
for the 2-4th song i used fruity loops.
the first one was done with cubase and is pretty new compared to the others.
i am currently trying to figure out a bit about mastering and stuff.. thats probably what you mean with the "quality"
that the EQ is not pretty well balanced or the instruments themself~
i consider no 1 as finished...
but now i feel the urge to correct it XD
maybe i will
I do plan at some point to invest in other libraries just not right now. I am in the process of finding and paying someone who sequences great samples for a couple of my works that will be used as tracks fro various projects.
Yes, the pics are from the Trinidad Carnival....all excet two I believe. The Carenival season starts in December and ends in Feb! The Parade which is call ed the "Road March" is through the city giving people on the street a chance to see and take part and "jump up and dance" with the various sections while they make their way to the stadium for formal presentation and judgement. This all happens on the last two days of Carnival. Its starts Monday morning at 2am with dancing in the streets to rhythm and music then into the day for a less formal parage with partial costumes and this goes on until Midnight. Then Tuesday which is the official "Cranival Tuesday" is where the parage through the streets into the stadium happen and it ends at Midnight. Trinidad Carnival is the oldest in the Caribbean and older than that of Brazil. Actually, many carnivals are copies off of the form of Trinidad Carnival. There is a lot of symbolism to the Carnival but I won't go into it now as it would take up a lot of space LOL....
Here is a clip from the Sunday night before the Monday and Tuesday Parade. The Sunday is callded "Dimanche Gras" and it is used for the finals of competitions in music and costumes. This competition is called the Competition of Kings and Queens. Basically section leaders in the parade that wear HUGE costumes. The object is to dance to music while presenting the costume and what it signifies.

Yeah, the production of the first suite in A is not at all very good. But I hope to have that fixed at some point. I don't usually worry about production too much as my samples are not meant for actual use but as for demos for instrumental performance condiseration with score in hand. But the suites are different I do plan on using them for an event so I hope to have the production issues take care off.

You mentioned your self being an amateur in a short statement in the Forum...
May I ask why?
Your music is rather "depthy" and "calm", which is rather the challenge to writing music in my eyes...
Hoping for an answer and wishing you a nice christmas!
