Hi Gatut,
thanks for being friends!
A good friend of mine is from Indonesia as well, so your music sounds very familiar to me...well done!
Later,
Chris
Thanks for the kind message and the friend request. Very interesting and eclectic stuff you have posted here! Certainly an interesting fusion of east and west. Also whats that video game you have in your studio? Looks like a fun place to record!
Dear Gatut,
Thank you very much.
You have a treasure, the Indonesian music, you can easily find the melodies you feel that you can do something with these melodies, you have to do something else and different, try with that, listen to my track 23 (Al-Rashid) this music is based on Iraqi melodies I built these melodies in the Sonata form, many of my music based on oriental melodies for example the two movements of Kurdistan Symphonic Suite they based on Kurdish melodies plus my melodies, Babylon is based on Iraqi song, it is for violin solo with the string orchestra, and many are built on the Oriental scales such as track 21 Ali Baba, but it is based on my melodies.
You have the pentatonic in your Indonesian music, many who wrote great works using those scales such as Dvorak, if you listened to his works after his visiting to USA there are many melodies he used those scales, starting from his 9th symphony From the New World Symphony op. 95. And it’s very good idea to use the traditional instruments in your works, many who do that now.
Hope you all success and waiting for your new works.
Ahmad
Hello Gatut,
I listened to your lovely music, it is very nice and well done, using the pentatonic scales is very good idea, it is similar to my idea in using the oriental scales, it is very important to do something different,
Hope you'll have very good success in your concert,
Yours,
Ahmad

Thank you for your most kind comments on my page. Always nice to meet people from around the world doing music.
I am in the office now and do not have a sound card, but I'll listen to your player when I can.
All the best
