that sounds great but Arthur is so laid back if you come out I would try to set up some gigs or a recording in a friends studio with some good players. I knoe if i ask Arty he will be let's do it, but if you come you should come as a xacation in LA LA land for you and Barb. You would have more fun and if I get some gigs for you that would be an added feature. I would rather hang out with Mr. Jimmy and have a lugh. We could definitely record in my set up just us and bring in some fools. Look forward to talking.

If you have time on Monday...later around 9 or 10 your time let's talk about the samples etc. It was great talking and keep on getting back to your energetic self. Hope we play soon.

Setting up a MIDI studio? That's a tough question- there are so many options. Ray can probably advise you better. For orchestral samples, I have Kontakt 4, but I don't use it much- I'd rather just use my narrow collection of favorites for the limited instrumentation that I use.

I appreciate your feedback and encouragement. Yeah- I like to through-compose and have a love for structure. Improv adds a bit of surprise to any composition. Jazz is uncharted territory for me and I'm more at home with progressive rock and classical structures.

If you get a chance, listen to one of the recordings on my page and give me feedback. Thanks!

Hi Anthony, thanks for requesting to be my friend. I'm new to composers forum but it looks like a great website to network. You have a great profile. Dave Holland teaches @ the Birmingham Conservatoire, UK...that's where I studied and got my degrees. Speak soon, Peter
