I know I could listen to all the music in the world Chris and that I would never tire of listening to your beautiful, soothing music. I hope all is well.

I'm glad you liked "In the Light of the Trinity." I guess the years I spent working on trying to make it sing paid off. As I write this note, Christendom plays in the background. Great piece! Peaceful and serene!

christopher, i am so happy you are here, because your music is more than just classical, it's classy.... more so here than at the old place...

always your biggest fan, i could learn alot from you, but i am prone to deluding myself.... your music is very instructive, if only i had some talent as a student

Music going beyond words is so true. We can see it see it in children who can hear after six weeks from conception. It’s language that comes much later. Surly music can reach us that far back in our psyche experience. I really like the serene feeling I get listening to your music. I’m working with a friend on a piece at the moment mixing Dub Reggae, Indian and Klezmer genres.

Hi

Thank for inviting me. I've listened to your music and I enjoyed it. You seem to have combined producing emotional moving and stirring music with a strong sense of stillness. It seems to have a modern element to the harmony which was interesting…

I'm listening to 82, 1st now. (82!!!)
You've written 82 and I've... I'm still taking baby steps.
I love the pauses in your music. They create a feeling of 'ease' and a mature confidence. This 82/1st flows well. I'll definitely be back to do more listening here.

P.S.: I'm astounded when people get that I'm writing folk songs, because I really don't have a folk voice (just shows you were really listening.

Thanks again.

Thanks! I just posted a short piano piece in the Music Dissection forum. Please check it out if you get a chance.

Also, is your "partner" on this network too? If so, who is she?

Thanks.

Hi Christopher -Simon Godden said he believed you worked with Sibelius and East West. I'm currently using Finale and generally satisfied with it, but I want to move up to a better library (Finale comes with the Garritan Personal Orchestra), such as East-West or Vienna. However, I know nothing about getting my finished score to play with one of these libraries. Do you have to manually play your score a part at a time into your sequencer, or does Sibelius just play it right off the score using the library of your choice. Any advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated - including info on equipment. I currently work on an Mac G5, but when I score over twenty instruments in a piece I have lots of playback trouble, so consequently I'm looking into some upgrades in that area, also.

Thanks, David Cortello

Chris, I'm listening to the violin concerto no. 2 right now. It's soothing.

I came to your page because I've read about you elsewhere. Right now I only have two songs posted here, and I'm working on instrumentals right now. I'm a musical late bloomer with high aspirations, and I'm looking to meet folks with business and music tech knowledge.

Have had a bit of theory training, and I compose using my Korg 01/WFD (although I'm trying to put together a budget for a DAW and software such as East West (probably orchestra-related and rock instruments).

Pleasure to make your acquaintance.

BTW, your player is on the second song now. I could listen to this music all day (although classical isn't my main musical interest).

Interesting works. I note a predominant baroque influence with some form of minimal basso continuo.....very nice. Where did you study?

Hi Christopher, and thanks for the great feedback! Nice to have the encouragement, as my Music for the Media course is slow going right now. I've been a little distracted: I hope to have an album out before Christmas - I've been working on it for about 15 months now. It's a kind of Blues/Rock/Funk/Jazz/Latin/Ambient/Ballad personal story concept album thing... yes, I'm not quite sure who I am :\ Anyway, once I get that nailed I'm going to concentrate more on orchestral stuff and finishing the course.

Hi Christopher, nice to meet you. You make well-written and sometimes also haunting music. I especially enjoyed "Skopadiddle". 80 symphonies! :-O

Hey!
Interesting with an 80th symphony :) I think you're close to Haydn soon :)

Will listen through your work on the page, and try to leave a comment on all of it, if I am able. If not, just on the my favourites.

Thank you Christopher for explaining,
In fact the samples are good enough but still the same problem with the strings.
For me I have to inter my head into the software to get the sounds because not always I have the chance to play with the life instruments, if you listen to my tracks you'll notice that many of them are mixed between the life and the samples; you know I live in the west and we don't have here professional oriental musicians, if you listen to track nr. 3, 8 or 11 you'll understand what I mean,
Have a nice weekend in my lovely country UK,
Ahmad

Hello Christopher,
Thank you very much for your beautiful comment,
Now I'm listening to your beautiful music; it is really nice and very good written, can you tell me please which software do you use for creating the orchestral sounds? No I'm listening to the 6th track; so cool and fantastic harmony and orchestration.
My best regards and have a nice weekend,
Ahmad
