I thought I'd have a go at something a little different this evening. I guess one of the many roles a composer can fill with the help of a good music supervisor is source music: the band playing when the character switches on the car stereo; or the club who's thumping sound system can be felt many doors away; or the Jazz Quartet
on stage in some flashy cocktail lounge frequented by equally flashy punters...
I've always shied away from Jazz as a musician growing up because I always felt it'd be a very obvious choice or assumption for people to make based on the fact the instruments I played were Piano, Double Bass and Clarinet. I've since learned to embrace it. Hope you like. :)
