Music Composers Unite!

My previous blogs all were quite negative, first there was a war with the computer than some complaining about the current state of affairs in the music business.

Today I want to be positive for a change and it's quite easy to do so. I'm currently enjoying a holiday at the aegean sea cost with beautiful weather and being in the company of my lovely girlfriend. The only thing that I miss is making music. Unfortunately I'm not really able to write without some help from my ears so the best I can do is try to remember the music in my head and enjoy all the impressions I'm getting here.

I think I might take a small midi keyboard with me next time I'm away for a longer time so I can at least put some ideas down or train myself in hardcore pen and paper composing . On the other side it might be good to have some genuine rest now and there are enough other things to do anyways.

Indeed Doug, I still remember the days when I was a teenager full of ideas and without any money. Nowadays even considering the dire state of the music business I have everything I need to enjoy my passion for music to the fullest :)

No- your current state sounds great! Look at what you have- a fast computer at home and hopefully the ability and desire to create music when you return. Keep in mind that there are composers with slow computers, no keyboard or real instruments, bad health, low paying job, and these people still have an intense desire to compose. They create under those conditions. The key ingredient is having a passion for composing.
